Meet a Greeter and discover the real Vienna!

Come on a free, private and personal walk through the city. Walks are open to everyone, alone or in small groups up to a maximum of six people. At least one member of the group must be 18 years old or older.

Request a greeter by completing our online form. Tell us a little bit about yourselves and what you’re interested in, and we’ll do our best to find a greeter for your visit. If possible, please give us at least two weeks to find a greeter.

Once we’ve found a greeter, they will contact you directly by email. If we are unable to organise a greet for your visit, we will contact you directly and let you know.

A note on the subject of “free of charge”

All walks with Vienna Greeters are free of charge. Our greeters are volunteers, they’re not paid and do not accept tips. If you would like to support us, you can make a small donation to our association. We use the money to cover our running costs (website, information material etc.)

We do not normally take our guests on trips where costs are incurred (e.g. entrance fees, refreshments), with the exception of tickets for public transport in Vienna. If we take a break in a coffee house or “Heuriger”, the Greeter is happy to be treated to a coffee or a drink.

If the guest expressly requests it, we can of course also arrange paid activities (e.g. eating out together or going to an exhibition). In this case, the guest would also bear the costs for the greeter.
